The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination 2025–26 is conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Maharashtra for students studying in government and government-aided schools. The main objective of the NMMS scheme is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections and reduce the dropout rate after Class 8.
About NMMS Scholarship Scheme
The NMMS scheme was launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Selected students receive a scholarship of ₹12,000 per year (₹1,000 per month) from Class 9 to Class 12, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
